The Standard Rim offers features that satisfy the demands of the market. The one shape pattern (no front or hind) is versatile and can be easily shaped to fit front or hind – but doesn’t have the pointed toe shape of other brands that makes fitting difficult. The bevels on the inside and outside offer good breakover and grip in arena surfaces as well as trails and cross-country terrain. The full crease from heel to heel offers maximum traction. V-Crease ensures better nail fit. Fuller toe, inside bevel, and slight taper to heel area. Shoes are symmetrical. Punched for 5 City, 5 Race or 5 Slim.

Kerckhaert Standard Rim/Lite Rim Changes

Kerckhaert is working to consolidate some of the shoes in our program that are very similar. The next in line is the consolidation of the Standard Rim and Standard Lite Rim series. We have sent three Standard Rim/Lite Rim shoes so you can get a better sense of the changes we announced recently. The current Standard Rim is marked OSR. The current Standard Lite Rim is marked OSL. The new Standard Lite Rim is marked NSL.

The Standard Rim will be discontinued and merged with the Lite Rim. To help with this transition, the dimensions of the Standard Lite Rim will be adjusted slightly from a 8mm thickness and 19.2mm width to 8.3mm and 19.7mm. The Standard Rim was 20.2mm wide x 8.7mm thick.

The Standard Lite Rim range will be size 000 through 2. The size 2 Lite Rim should be available soon to replace the Standard Rim 2. The stock numbers and barcodes for the Standard Lite Rim series will remain the same.

The transition will be a running change. We have approximately less than 30 days inventory of the Standard Rim 0, 1, 2 and suggest replacing it with the Standard Lite Rim once they are depleted. We have approximately 60 days supply of the old dimension Standard Lite Rim in 00, 0 and 1 before those sizes will be available in the new dimension.

The net result is definitely fewer sku’s, something many of you will appreciate. If you need samples for any of your Rim users please let us know.
